Energy - Doom and Gloom or a new revolution?
Oil is one of the earths most energy-dense fuels; it is also a major contributor to the Industrial Revolution and other technological revolutions. Nothing much could have happened so quickly without oil.
Is it at all likely that a modern airbus could be powered by a steam engine or that any of the modern conveniences such as mobile phones, computers, and blenders; could have coal as a power source?
